Saturday 9 December 2006 - It's the 9th for three more minutes, so go figure, I'll put that up here. Not much to tell,
again. I struggle onward, walking the long and winding road that is life. Finals are upon us, and I'm doing swimmingly, keeping
up with my homework and studying. Roommate's here until at least Monday, including staying here this weekend--a real
pain in the neck, and keeping me from going back and being comfortable at any point.
Anyhow, other than that, nothing much. A final visit from my mom to go Christmas shopping up here, before I come home
from break--which, incidentally, might be later than I expected. Moving nonsense has clouded my outlook. I'm moving to another
room on the same floor, a physical single (a room built for one), so I can be assured of not having a roommate next semester.
The housing crisis has made avoiding a new roommate very iffy, even with my name on the top of the list for a double-as-a-single
(keeping the room I'm in now, sans a second occupant). Regulations say all moves must be completed by next Friday, so I'll
have to move once the occupant of my new room has moved out, hopefully also by Friday.
On another housing front, my friends and I finally found a place to live starting in May. We've ponied up the money,
and now I guess I have to look for some new furniture to fill all the empty space in my new room... Even if I don't seem excited
about it at this late hour, let me assure you that I am. It's a good thing to have some residential security, and to finally
be away from the dorms.
Not much else to report. D&D goes along, picking up Jacob as a guest player. I'm signed up to be a player in someone
else's game next semester, but I'll still keep my own game running. That reminds me: stop by my D&D section to see all-new summaries of our adventures so far.
If I forgot something, I'm sure my loyal readers will remind me about it, soon. Christmas shopping is almost done, and
I'll be home by the end of the week. In the meantime, don't blow your lids, keep the stress off, and for goodness sake, be
excellent to one another during this holiday season. There's no call for bad behavior, least of all at this time of goodwill
and cheer. Take care, and drop me a line, or a present.
