Monday 2 January 2006 - I wish everyone a happy new year. A lot certainly
happened to me in the past year. Check the column at right to see a sample.
As for current news, Rachel just got home a few minutes ago. Her
visit to my neck of the woods was a whirlwind adventure, and worth every moment and every dollar. As per usual,
I am already worrying about the future, but I'm not worrying about Rachel & I. School and money are at the top of my worry
list, but I'm also worrying that my new pants had to have a waist an inch larger than any of the pants
I've ever bought before...
Anyway... now that Rachel's visit is over, I have bigger and... well, worse things,
I guess, to worry about. But, if I learned one thing last year, it's this: Things can get bad. Really bad. Overpoweringly
bad. But that's not really the point. The point is that as bad as they get, they get better. A lot better. Overpoweringly
bad... er, better. Hah, right?
Well, this is me, signing off in a new year--and working hard to focus on the good
in life. Everybody out there take care, and enjoy life whether you're on vacation or not!
