Wednesday 18 October 2006 - Yes, it's been nigh a month since my last update, just as I'd feared. I'm a busy guy, so cut me a break. Besides, why aren't you the ones talking to me, anyhow? Slouches...

I must say, life is going pretty well. I recently completed my classroom experience hours, and the kids were amazing. I was apparently pretty popular; the girl who worked with that class after I did said she was supposed to pass on a request for me to come back and visit. It's these sort of things that make me delighted to be a teacher-in-training. I love being in the classroom and can't wait to go back.

D&D is a blast (almost) every week. Kara, Lydia, Kendra, and Sarah are enthusiastic players, and keep surprising me, taking the game in turns I don't always expect. All four are fast learners and excellent roleplayers, which makes this campaign what a good campaign should be: fun, fast-paced, and engaging. I'm making up adventures weeks in advance, as I can never predict how quickly the girls will move through the worlds I create.

Oh! I shouldn't forget the Roommate From Hell. My roommate seems to reach new levels of emo-kid insanity every day. I came back from a shower this morning to find that he had locked me out of my own room. I had to get a key from the hall office downstairs. Luckily, all of the hall staff are aware of this crap and are on my side. Equally fortunate, Kara and Sarah don't seem to mind the time I spend at their place when I don't want to be in my room. Sarah keeps suggesting fun and sadistic things to do, but I really just can't wait to let this kid get himself kicked out. I live for the day.

Suppose that wraps up my month. I hope all of my loyal readers stay well. Oh, and if anyone sees Sarah in the next few days, you can get mad at her for me. I bet I'm going to be pretty peeved when I find out she wrote everything but the first paragraph. (Bet you couldn't tell, could you? -S)

P.S. The previous paragraph speaks the truth--Sarah wrote all of this update except the first and last (this) paragraph. I give her credit for being original and things, but I'll have to make my own update again soon, to get to some important things that I meant to get to, but now it's just too late.
